Welcome to Salvatore’s Barbershop

From Joe Pavone:

At Salvatore’s Barbershop, every haircut is more than just a service — it’s a continuation of a family legacy.

My name is Joe, but around here, I proudly go by Joe The Barber — a name once held by my great grandfather, who ran a legendary barbershop in Manhattan. He was known for cutting the hair of boxers, musicians, and even the Rockettes, and was one of the first to open a unisex barbershop in the city.

That’s my grandpa on the left—I’m the little guy on the right.

My journey into barbering began three years ago, but the spark was lit much earlier — just a week before my grandfather passed in December 2021. It was in that moment that I truly discovered my calling. Inspired by his stories, he told me of my great grandfather, I knew this was what I was meant to do.

My grandfather, me, and my dad.

The name Salvatore’s is in honor of my grandfather, whose influence led me down this path. Every client who walks into the barbershop becomes part of that story — one rooted in tradition, passion, and personal connection.

My great-grandpa’s barber license and one of his old-school straight razors.

Come in, relax, and experience a cut with history behind it.

The man who started it all—my great grandfather!
